New Eyes for the Needy @ The Griffin - March 25th/6pm

What: A benefit to raise money and resources for youth (ages 4 - 18) in the 5 boroughs and abroad

Where: The Griffin, 50 Gansevoort Street NY NY

When: Thursday March 25 from 6 pm - 10:30 pm

Attire: Dress to impress

ALL PROCEEDS are going to the organization New Eyes for the Needy. This organization is better known for sending resources abroad but also helps visually-impaired people locally so that they too can live active and productive lives.

PLEASE BRING ANY USED EYEGLASSES OR SUNGLASSES YOU MAY HAVE. Collection bins will be set up inside the entrance of the venue.

The eyeglasses collected in good condition are sent to medical missions and international charitable organizations for distribution to the poor in developing nations. Last year New Eyes provided eyeglasses to 161,000 people in developing nations and 5,167 needy residents of the U.S. It costs $60 to purchase 1 pair of eyeglasses for someone in need. My goal is to raise $10,000 which will give glasses to 166 young people in the 5 boroughs.

Barrier Island - Center Stage NY - April 30th

Maieutic Theatre Works (MTWorks) is pleased to present the world premiere of David Stallings’ BARRIER ISLAND, directed by Cristina Alicea. Barrier Island tackles the nature of a fearless community that chooses to stake their lives on the strength of the historic Galveston seawall — built to protect the island from natural disasters — as they await the arrival of one of the most devastating hurricanes to hit the United States since Katrina, Hurricane Ike. Nominated for the 2009 Weissberger Award (Williamstown Theatre Festival), Barrier Island is the first play in “The Galveston Cycle.”

Sleepover - Magnet Theater - Every Thursday
